Gradings

About Sanjuro gradings
All Sanjuro grades test to ensure that the individual has the required level of knowledge, understanding and proficiency required for the grade awarded within the Sanjuro training system.  Unless you want to teach there is no need to take a Sanjuro grade to continue your development as there is no hierarchical system of knowledge and everyone trains the same way, to the best of their own abilities.

Minimum timescale required between grades
All students/instructors could be able to take the first grade no earlier than 1 month with a minimum 8 hours training after successfully completing the Sanjuro foundation module (SFM).

Sanjuro martial art instructors
Only level 4 – Green instructors or upwards are allowed to run a Sanjuro martial art class.

Sanjuro DanceCombat/SpNs instructors

Continuing personal development
ALL Sanjuro instructors have to keep their own training and abilities up to date and of a good standard so a minimum amount of refresher hours must be made each year for your Sanjuro certificate to remain valid unless an arrangement has been made with the Sanjuro chief instructor as to how this can be achieved.

Refresher hours can take the form of workshops or attendance of a Sanjuro class run by a senior or master level instructor.
